Certified Functional Nutritionist helping women uncover the root causes behind their fatigue, digestive issues, and hormonal imbalances.

CNP, BSc Nutrition and Dietetics

Hi, I’m Alexandra

I became a practitioner because I was the patient first.

A decade ago, I was running on empty — chronically stressed, undernourished, and pushing through exhaustion like it was a personality trait. Nobody told me the problem wasn't my drive. It was that I'd never learned how to fuel it.

My body started pushing back. Persistent digestive issues. Skin flare-ups. Fatigue that no amount of sleep could touch. Brain fog that made me feel like a stranger in my own life.

I went to doctors. I had labs run. I was told everything looked "normal."

But it didn't feel normal. And I refused to accept that this was just how life was supposed to feel.

So I started digging. That search led me to functional nutrition—a root-cause, systems-based approach that finally made sense of what I was experiencing. My symptoms weren't random. They were connected. And they were reversible.

That discovery changed my health. Then it changed my career.

Now I help women get the answers I wish I'd found sooner.

Today, I work with women who know something is off—whether it's their energy, digestion, skin, or hormones—but haven't been given real explanations or lasting solutions.

Through functional lab testing and personalized protocols, I help clients:

  • Identify what's actually driving their symptoms

  • Rebuild gut health, hormonal balance, and energy from the root

  • Create sustainable habits that fit their real lives—not a rigid checklist

This isn't about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all meal plans. It's about understanding your body and giving it what it needs to heal.

Your symptoms are messages, not inconveniences.

My Philosophy

I don't believe in chasing symptoms one at a time. Digestive issues, skin problems, hormonal chaos, low energy—these are rarely isolated. They're your body asking for support.

My approach looks at the whole picture: digestion, stress response, detox pathways, nutrient status, and daily habits. Because real healing doesn't come from masking symptoms. It comes from understanding why they're happening in the first place.

And wellness isn't one size — or one speed. Some women need more rest. Some need more fuel. The goal is learning which one your body is asking for.

My Holistic Approach

  • Whole Person Health Assessment

Every system in the body is deeply interconnected, as are your thoughts, emotions, and environment. True healing begins when we look at the whole person, not just the symptoms.

  • Advanced Lab Testing

I utilize advanced functional lab testing to identify root causes to your recurring symptoms and health conditions. Together, we will determine which tests are best for you.

  • Personalized Nutrition + Lifestyle Plan

I will take the insights gained from your health assessment and lab testing to determine the best functional nutrition plan to achieve your heath goals and support your body in the healing process. Lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, exercise, and environment will be addressed as well.

  • Supplementation Support

A combination of medicinal herbs and advanced nutritional supplements will assist in speeding up and supporting the healing process. The specific combination of supplements used will change throughout the process, depending on what the body needs.

A little more about me

  • The name Alexandra comes from the Greek words alexein (“to defend”) and aner (“man”). It feels like a quiet reminder of my purpose. To help others protect and nurture their well-being.

  • My dog Baxter is my best friend and I am not afraid to admit it! If you have a dog I would of course like to see photos, you don’t even need to ask.

  • Always seeking learning opportunities, either from courses, people around me, or nature! I truly think that if you are constantly seeking opportunities to learn, your life is that much richer and more fulfilling for it.

  • Yes, I am a Nutritionist and love healthy wholesome foods, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love a big cookie, croissant, donut, etc (it’s all about that 80/20 rule). When I am stressed, or need a mood booster, baking always seems to help.

  • Spending time outdoors recharges my spirit and keeps me grounded. In the warmer months, you’ll usually find me in the garden, out for walks with my husband and dog, up at the family cottage, or playing tennis and biking. In the winter, I trade the sunshine for the slopes and spend my time skiing. I enjoy working on my fitness through weightlifting as well because I want to be a strong and physically independent granny one day :)
